While the barber shop business in Mexico was estimated at 326.3 million dollars during the previous year, which means a growth of 7.6 percent compared to 2015.
For the representative of the Mexican company Mel Bros, Gilgamesh Ángeles, for some six years there has been a very strong growth in the opening of barber shops in the country, and in general throughout the world.
"This service has grown over the last six years, in which most men look for classic cuts to go to work, or have a clean beard that looks good. .
In an interview, he commented that Mel Bros has a line of products for a large gentleman, and even they are creators of the balm of growth for beard and mustache, which is commercialized in the continent and in some European countries.
While this year the company seeks to expand its business model with franchises of barber shops, which can be started with an investment of one million pesos, depending on the place and size of the premises.
"Before we only had the beauty products business for men, which can be started with a minimum investment of 500 thousand pesos, but now we are starting with barber shops, given the growth we have seen in Mexico," he said.
For Ernesto Chávez, an assiduous customer of Barbería Pereira, which belongs to the Mexican soccer player Jair Pereira, since knowing this type of business has not stopped attending them, although the cost is much higher compared to an aesthetic .
