Nintendo says Mario Bros is no longer a plumber

In the official profile of Mario Bros on the Japanese site of Nintendo the hero was described as:

"Good for sports, whether in tennis or baseball, football or racing, [Mario] does everything well. In fact, he seems like he worked as a plumber a long time ago ...".

What makes us wonder many things like if Mario was fired? Or did royalties from those games finally allow him to retire and become a leisure man?

The truth is that the next game of Super Mario Odyssey is about traveling, which may be because he is looking for a place to settle down and spend his years of old age.
