Afi School of Finance launches its training program in finance and technology in Mexico, in collaboration with the Association of Banks of Mexico and the Mexican Stock Exchange


Afi School of Finance, an international reference institution in specialized training in finance and technology, has inaugurated its new headquarters in Mexico City. It begins its expansion in Latin America, developing its formative activity in collaboration with institutions and local authorities.

In order to present the School and the specialized training programs, Emilio Ontiveros, President of International Financial Analysts and Mónica Guardado, General Director of Afi Escuela de Finanzas, participated this week in various events organized in collaboration with the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM ), the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) and the Spanish Embassy in Mexico - through the representative office of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain.

The events were attended by prominent Mexican authorities, including Juan Carlos Jiménez Rojas, General Director of ABM, José Oriol Bosch Par, General Director of the BMV, as well as senior officials of the Spanish administration, as the Education Counselor for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, Enrique Cortés de Abajo.

During the meetings it has been possible to delve into issues such as the eurozone crisis and its impact on the banking system, economic and financial globalization and global geopolitical uncertainty.

"Afi Escuela has the knowledge of the Mexican market thanks to the close alliances established with Mexican institutions and companies", explains Ontiveros, Professor of Business Economics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and founder in 1987 and President of International Financial Analysts and Afi School of Finance.

In particular, Afi School of Finance has been collaborating with the Pan American University for more than three years in an exchange program for students in the framework of its Summer School in areas related to corporate finance, portfolio management, big data, data science and for the preparation of international financial certifications. In addition, the collaboration also provides for teacher exchanges. Other collaborations that have allowed to penetrate in the Mexican market are those realized with the School Bolsa Mexicana.

The faculty is made up of professionals from the Consulting of International Financial Analysts and also experts of the highest prestige that work in the day to day of the economic, financial and technological scope Mexican and Spanish.

Education has been one of the areas that has helped to intensify the excellent relations between Spain and Mexico, so much so that Spain is today, together with the United States, the main destination of the students of the country.

In particular, the Mexican financial sector is experiencing a real technological revolution and is undergoing an intense phase of regulatory reforms. This growing complexity of the national and international financial system requires professionals to have greater specialization and knowledge of the sector, and makes the demand for training increase.
