Without meeting the two years of operations, the Tostao coffee chain 'completes its 200th store in the country.
The official opening will be today in the area of Hayuelos, in Bogota, where it completes 194 points. The other six have been operating since June in MedellÃn.
Pedro Gasca, general counsel of BBI Colombia S.A.S., explained the rapid progress of the brand in both cities.

Last year ended with 87 establishments and the initial projection was to open 143 more in 2017, for a total of 230.
However, he points out, the dynamism of the brand makes the figures increase throughout the year. For example, with the arrival in MedellÃn, Tostao 'expects to reach a dozen locations at the end of the year, reaching a total of 242 points, said the businessman.
"We are very pleased with the expansion we have had. Opening 200 stores in less than two years is a great achievement and this is thanks to many people. The best balance is being able to be closer to our customers who ask for a 'Tostao' in their neighborhood or in their city, is to have a team of 1,230 people who wear the T-shirt every day for the operation to go forward and of course, our suppliers who have been strategic allies with whom we have grown hand in hand. We are full of satisfaction that together we work to create a country, "says Gasca.
Regarding business prospects for the remainder of the year, he said that what has been identified from the company is that to move the economy, it is worth having inclusive and disruptive businesses.
"As we create consumer alternatives that are available to all, the frequency in the acquisition of goods and services can increase, basically by volume," he said.
The Tostao Advisor General believes that consumers appreciate having other options at fair prices to continue enjoying simple tastes like good coffee in the morning, without this means that they are above their daily spending budget.
