What to do if the ATM does not give you the full money?

If you do not receive the requested amount when you go to an ATM, the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Financial Services Users (CONDUSEF) tells you what to do if you do not receive the correct amount:

If the cashier does not give you your money or gives you incomplete, contact your financial institution and report it. Make sure you have the ATM number and institution responsible for the ATM.
When submitting your complaint, they will provide you with a folio and tell you the time you should wait for the refund to be reflected in your account, once the inquiry is concluded, in some cases it is 5 business days.
In case of receiving a refusal by the bank, go to CONDUSEF.
Save your receipts, because with them you can verify the operations that appear in your statement and detect any anomalies in time.

The CONDUSEF gives you the following recommendations for safe use of ATMs:

Program your cash needs and withdraw the appropriate amount, so you do not spend more than the account.
Check that there are no extraneous or foreign elements installed in the card slot.
Cover the keyboard with your hand when entering your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Do not accept help from strangers to carry out your operations, remember that they can use tactics to get rid of your card and PIN.
Avoid visiting ATMs located in dark and crowded places, especially at night.
Preferably use those located in bank branches of your issuing bank, to avoid paying commissions.
If you use a different cashier to your issuing bank, be aware that commissions should be displayed on the screen, in order to decide whether or not to accept the transaction.
Save your receipts, because with them you can verify the operations that appear in your statement and detect any anomalies in time.
