Diputación and Chamber of Commerce of C.Real bet on the internationalization

The Provincial Council of Ciudad Real and the Chamber of Commerce of Ciudad Real will bet next year for the agri-food sector, tourism and internationalization.

This was demonstrated by the president of the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real, José Manuel Caballero, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mariano León, during the meeting they held to take stock of the actions jointly developed during 2017 in virtue of the general agreement signed between both corporations.

In this meeting, as has been informed today by the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real in a statement, have laid the groundwork for the development of a new edition of the Provincial Program to Support the International Marketing of Agri-Food Cooperatives and SMEs (Impulsa Agro) during the period 2018/2019 with a new format.

Likewise, progress has been made in the implementation of an impulse program for the tourism sector; an initiative that reinforces the commitment of the Diputación and the commitment of the Chamber of Commerce for a sector with great potential in the province.

This program is also envisaged for a period of two years and, like Impulsa Agro, will have an impact on improving the competitiveness of the business community in Ciudad Real.

Caballero y León also reviewed some outstanding actions, such as the 13 commercial missions developed by the Chamber thanks to the financing of the Provincial Council, which have made it possible for companies in Ciudad Real to visit up to 28 countries.

A work on foreign trade that has been complemented by 13 training actions in which more than 300 companies and entrepreneurs have met.

All along with a continuous service of consulting and business consultancy that has been reinforced in recent years.

Caballero also highlighted the numbers of the 2016/2017 Impulsa Agro Program, which has had 35 participating companies that have improved their presence in international markets with the incorporation of 27 international trade technicians, all with university degrees, with contracts of six months.

Of these, up to 24 have finally achieved stable employment in a field that also has great potential.

In addition, these companies have benefited from an internationalization improvement plan, have had access to an exchange of funds to promote different areas of their organization and have participated in direct and reverse trade missions and prestigious fairs such as SIAL Paris.
